In 2023, we took on the role of national coordinator for the SozialMarie Award in Slovenia—the oldest award for social innovation in Europe, which recognizes and supports social innovations in six European countries (Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, and Slovenia). Since then, we've been working to connect as many Slovenian social innovators as possible.

Every year, we organize a Slovenian gathering for project representatives who have applied or been nominated for the SozialMarie Award, as well as for those still considering submitting an application. At our café, you'll always find the latest brochure featuring all nominated projects from the current year. We're always available to answer any questions about the award.

We keep our eyes and ears open for impactful social innovations—we want to identify as many as possible and encourage them to apply. We believe that a lot of good is happening in Slovenia, and it deserves this kind of recognition. Zadruga BUNA itself was recognized as a social innovation a few years ago at the international level (Social Academy), which makes us even more aware of how important it is to have your work acknowledged and appreciated by others.
